Frequently Asked Questions

How far is it to Bristol Temple Meads Train Station?
It is about a 15 minute walk or a short bus/taxi ride.

Do you have parking?
There is no general parking available on site; however, we may be able to organise parking space for an organiser, presenter or disabled guest travelling by car, subject to availability. Advance booking is required. Queen Charlotte Street NCP is about three minutes from us so you should be able to park quite close by. Failing that, there are other car parks marked on our map and there are also Park & Ride facilities located at Long Ashton, Brislington and the Portway (Avonmouth).

Do you have disabled access?
Yes, we have an electric wheelchair lift installed in our front lobby which will accommodate most wheelchairs. The disabled toilets are situated on the ground floor. The upper floors are accessed via a DDA-compliant 8-passenger lift.

Could you send me a map of where you are?
Yes of course we can, but why not download the map from this website.

Can you recommend somewhere for lunch?
If you have decided not to have lunch at Armada House then there are plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance. Please note that only food supplied by Armada House may be consumed on the premises.

Can you recommend somewhere for our evening meal?
Bristol has so many good restaurants it is difficult to know where to start. Whiteladies Road is famous for its pubs and restaurants.

What was the building originally used for?
The building was built in 1903 as the headquarters for the Bristol Water Company.

What is the building actually used for?
We are a dedicated conference centre and we hire out rooms for all kinds of different events.
