Golden Ticket Gala Night

In celebration of Healthy City Week (15th-22nd October 2016)- promoting healthier lifestyles and sustainable futures- Fairtrade Bristol, GoGreen Bristol and Green Capital Partnership present:

The Golden Ticket Gala Night

20th October 2016

Armada House Conference and Events, Bristol

The Golden Ticket Gala will be an evening of inspiration including auctions, games and prizes, raising awareness and funding support for mercury free gold mining.  In countries such as Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya mercury is often used as a way to extract gold which is incredibly dangerous and toxic for both miners and the environment. The event will draw awareness towards alternative gold mining technologies that have already been successfully trialled in artisanal and small scale mining communities and to raise funding to back these projects. Pioneers of the project, the CRED Foundation, will work with local NGO’s and Artisanal small mining sectors to eradicate the use of mercury and install fairtrade alternatives- improving lives, conditions and production in the workplace with economic benefit.

Sponsors of the event include Co-op and Diana Porter with amazing prizes from Liz Earle, Levi Roots, M & S and local businesses such as Brian Wogan Coffee, @Bristol and The Community Farm.  Find out a list of prizes here:

The Armada House Team is pleased to be supporting the Gala in our Cabot Room and Bar area. Using Fairtrade and locally sourced produce expect a luscious sit down dinner freshly made by our inhouse kitchen team.
